Slate floor Bishops Stortford, Herfordshire, the above 2 images clearly show the extensive damage .
The Client was advised by the installer that nothing could be done to restore the floor tiles and that complete replacement would be necessary, when i visited the site my initial reaction was of concern but i advised that a test area be done first, the slate stone is a riven finish to the face and therefore not as simple as grinding out.
After testing with a few options one was successful and a complete renovation of the whole slate floor was undertaken.
Mrs Brown was so relieved that a complete replacement was not needed, and was very happy with the result and finish of the slate flooring .
